I had this vision. My families surrounded by spring blossoms. Beautiful petals falling behind their heads. Only to see that 2 days before our session, they were almost gone.
This was my first spring in the Carolinas since we moved here last year. I was so excited that spring comes early here in the south, so I though what better way to celebrate my favorite season, than to do Charlotte spring minis!? When I went location scouting weeks prior, I realized quickly that there was no point in deciding for a location yet, since there were no blossoms out and I had no idea where they will bloom. After some research and some advice from local photographers (love the photography community), I continued my search only a few days before the minis. I found the perfect spot. Until I drove by 2 days prior and saw that the blossoms were almost gone. I felt like crying. But I knew that no matter the blossoms, my families would look amazing. Come the day of the minis, God surprised me with a little miracle and made the blossoms bloom across the street from our location. *YAY* It was a beautiful sunset. The weather was perfect. And the Anderson’s looked absolutely stunning!
My photographer heart couldn't be happier
We met at a little park in Ballantyne just outside of Charlotte NC. When I met the Anderson’s it turned out that the church we started going to is their home church as well. How amazing and small is the world!? The Anderson’s are so welcoming, loving and super fun. While Ethan told me all about Karate Scarlett showed off her love for acting and was incredible in front of the camera. They made it too easy for me to get those genuine giggles and smiles. But look for yourself!
