A Family Spring Blossom Session

I cannot get enough of this family. Not just because they are super fun to be around, but also because they are near and dear to my heart. Meet the Oliver's, my sister-in-law's family.

When Jess asked me for family spring photos, I got super excited. This is our first spring here together in the Carolinas and we are absolutely loving it. Before, we were used to long Chicago winters and short and pretty late springs. So the fact that we can be out without heavy coats that early in the year feels pretty amazing. What better way to celebrate the new state we live in, than capturing your family in it!? When I went location scouting for my spring mini event, I found the perfect spot with the perfect blossoms. Only to see that 2 days before our session, they were almost gone. I felt like crying. Therefore I realized that scheduling sessions based on tree blossoms can be pretty tricky. But I knew that no matter the blossoms, the Oliver’s would look amazing. Come the day of the session, God surprised me with a little miracle and made the blossoms bloom across the street from our location. *YAY*

The weather was perfect. And of course, the Oliver’s looked adorable!
My wonderful husband Brad volunteered *cough – got volunteered by me* to take some behind the scenes footage of our session. It is so fun to be able to capture a glimpse into what a family session actually looks like. So we started with some family poses and prompts, captured the connection between siblings and then it happened. Magic. I was in photographer heaven. My absolute favorite photos are of mom and dad and the blossom petals falling in the background. LOVE IT! *again, thanks to my wonderful husband who got the perfect tree shake move down* But look for yourself!
